Our Story

I know what it feels like to have a story worth telling and no clear path to get it out into the world.
I’m Chisom Ezeh, founder of The Publishing Pad. I started my publishing journey over ten years ago in Nigeria, driven by a love for writing and a belief that stories have the power to change lives. 
In 2021, I moved to Canada, earned my MBA from the University of New Brunswick, and made a decision that would define the next chapter of my life. I launched The Publishing Pad, not because it was easy, but because I knew there were authors out there who needed more than a transaction. They needed a partner.
Those early days weren’t glamorous. I faced rejection. I faced doubt. As a Black woman and a newcomer building credibility in a new industry, I had to work twice as hard to prove what I already knew I was capable of. But I kept going because every time I helped an author hold their finished book for the first time, I was reminded exactly why I started.
Today, The Publishing Pad is an award-winning, Canadian-based publishing company. We’ve helped over 200 authors worldwide bring their books to life — from self-help and business to fiction, memoir, and beyond. Our authors have hit #1 on Amazon. They’ve launched with confidence. They’ve built authority, legacy, and impact through their words.
